One-half of the WWE Tag Team Champions has been very busy recently, appearing not only on SmackDown and the AAA, but now possibly voicing a supervillain in a popular online arena shooter game as well.
Marvel Rivals Season 9 dropped on Friday, and at the end of the season trailer, a familiar voice cuts through: “Mutants, Gods, mira…..No one beats The Hood.”
That voice may belong to Luis Martinez, better known to the wrestling world as WWE’s Damian Priest. Priest, who currently holds gold alongside R-Truth as the WWE Tag Team Champions, quoted the trailer clip on X with a simple caption: “No one beats The Hood,” echoing the trailer’s final words.
The timing is deliberate enough that fans have pieced it together. His deep, commanding, and naturally imposing voice fits a supervillain like The Hood. Replies to his quoted post are filled with fans expressing their disbelief that Damian Priest may be voicing the character in the game, while many also express their support.
Season 9, titled “The Mystery of Thebes,” pulls from Marvel’s mythology and crime-noir angles. The Hood—a character deeply tied to street-level Marvel storylines—fits the season’s dark, mysterious tone.
Priest has been threading the needle between his WWE commitments and other opportunities. Fans may not have seen it coming, but it looks like Priest can perform as a voice actor, with his acting credits in Marvel Rivals potentially opening doors to future roles in gaming and animation.
Whether the tease becomes an official announcement remains to be seen, but Priest’s social media move reads like a wink to fans who caught the connection.
