Nani’s ‘The Paradise’ is an upcoming action drama directed by Srikanth Odela. The film is scheduled for a theatrical release on September 24, with paid premiere shows beginning on Wednesday evening. It marks Nani’s second collaboration with Srikanth Odela after their previous film ‘Dasara’.
Set in 1980s Secunderabad, ‘The Paradise’ follows Jadal, played by Nani. The character belongs to a marginalised community and finds himself caught in circumstances shaped by oppression, survival and the fight for basic rights. The film explores the struggles faced by its characters while remaining rooted in the social and cultural landscape of Telangana.
Srikanth Odela has directed the film, while Nani leads an ensemble cast that includes Raghav Juyal, Mohan Babu and Kayadu Lohar. The movie has generated considerable interest ahead of its theatrical release, particularly in Telugu-speaking markets.
‘The Paradise’ has received an ‘A’ certificate from the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC). Despite the certification, the film has recorded strong advance bookings across several markets. Trade estimates reported by Sacnilk indicate that the movie has generated Rs 40.86 cr in advance bookings across six show dates, including block seats.
The advance collection stands at Rs 33.82 cr when block seats are excluded. The opening day, September 24, has contributed Rs 19.92 cr to the current advance total. Hyderabad has emerged as the biggest contributor, accounting for Rs 7.47 cr in advance bookings.
The movie has also registered notable pre-release demand in North America. Telangana and Andhra Pradesh are among the key markets contributing to its advance sales.
Early audience reactions have started appearing on X following the paid premieres. One viewer called the film a below-average entertainer and criticised its second half. The viewer wrote, “The first half was at least passable, but the second half was completely flat and travels elsewhere throughout the film !! Even Anirudh’s background in the 2nd half didn’t work (sic).”
The film has also received public support from several actors. Vijay Deverakonda wished the team ahead of release, while Sundeep Kishan praised Nani’s passion and Srikanth Odela’s work. Dulquer Salmaan also expressed his support for Nani and wished the entire team success.
With strong advance sales and paid premieres underway, ‘The Paradise’ enters its theatrical release amid considerable audience interest.
