Ranbir Kapoor-starrer Ramayana: Rise of a Legend is heading to the big screen this Diwali. With the release date approaching, Sony Pictures has released the second trailer for the upcoming film, offering a closer look at the clash between Ram and Ravana.
The nearly two-and-a-half-minute trailer opens with Kunal Kapoor’s Lord Indra, the king of the gods, riding his white elephant, Airavata, as he confronts Ravana. The demon king strikes Airavata, bringing the elephant crashing to the ground. “Before me, every head will bow,” Ravana declares.
The trailer then explores Ravana’s rise to power, describing him as someone who was “born from fire and fury” and “bent the gods to his will and made the world his throne.” It also introduces Lord Ram as the “one hope” of humanity, setting up the conflict between the two characters. It also gives a closer look at the world of Ramayana, including Ram’s battles against other rakshasas and glimpses of the larger conflict that will bring him face-to-face with Ravana.
