I’m writing this with tears in my eyes: the first official full-length trailer for Yellowjackets season four has finally been released. This first, truly massive look at the upcoming final season is absolutely glorious, weird, insane, and thrilling, and honestly, even better than I thought it was going to be.
As you’re all well aware by now, Yellowjackets is by far my favorite television show of all time, so my expectations going into this season are extremely skyhigh, and judging by the looks of this trailer and the first-look images that were released a bit ago, this last descent into madness with the girls is not going to disappoint in the slightest.
You can watch the trailer here:
The official synopsis for the season reads as follows:
“As the survivors race to bury their sins before rescue arrives and an old flame roars back into town with plans of her own, turns out not every homecoming is a joyous one, and this one’s going to sting.”
The trailer also gives us a good look
The trailer also gives us a good look at everyone’s favorite cannibal girls back in Wiskayok, New Jersey and back in school, something that fans of the series have been excited to see since the very beginning.
How are they going to cover themselves and hide that they quite literally killed and ate several of their teammates while in the wilderness? What are their lives going to be like now that they’re slowly readjusting back into society? It’s so interesting to think about and I can’t wait to see all of these themes explored in-depth.
Of course, there’s also the adult timeline which should be fascinating. At the end of the season three finale, we see Tai (Tawny Cypress) and Misty (Christina Ricci) plotting to put an end to Shauna’s (Melanie Lynskey) reign of terror once and for all, while it’s very clear that Walter (Elijah Wood) and Melissa (Hilary Swank) are also up to no good.
We will get tons of answers (and even more questions) when Yellowjackets season four premieres on Showtime and Paramount+ on November 20, 2026.
