Prime Video’s three-part Jack Ryan replacement series has officially returned with new episodes, dropping a full season of high-octane action all at once. Prime Video is home to a plethora of action-packed TV shows, many of which have received critical acclaim and high levels of viewership. This includes the likes of Reacher, which has been renewed through season 6, and its spinoff, Neagley, which recently had its season 2 fate confirmed.
But it also includes series like Jack Ryan, which was a staple of Prime Video’s lineup long before any other action series graced the platform. Starring John Krasinski in the leading role, the show pulls from the pages of Tom Clancy’s novel series, developing a show inspired by the books that focuses on contemporary narratives about action and espionage. The series has been highly praised and a hit for viewers, ending with season 4 and getting a follow-up movie in Jack Ryan: Ghost Warearlier this year.
However, with the Jack Ryanseries officially over, Prime Video seemingly had a spot open in its action lineup yet to be filled. While Reacher‘s nomadic storytelling and high-octane approach aided in its success, Jack Ryanhad a military thriller backdrop that the popular franchise doesn’t embrace as readily. But now, four years after season 1 came out on the platform, Prime Video has finally released the follow-up to its perfect replacement series, dropping all eight episodes of season 2 at the same time.
The Terminal List Season 2 Is Now Streaming With All Episodes

That show is The Terminal List, an action
That show is The Terminal List, an action thriller show starring Chris Pratt as James Reece, former Navy SEAL and leader of Alpha Platoon. The series follows Reece on a quest for revenge after his men and family were killed in two separate attacks, both tied to experimental drugs a company was using on members of the military. Season 1 aired in 2022, but the show hasn’t been quiet since then. A prequel series, The Terminal List: Dark Wolf, was released in 2025, following Reece’s former brother-in-arms Ben Edwards from the original show.
The Terminal Listis based on Jack Carr’s novel series of the same name.
Now, all eight episodes of The Terminal Listseason 2 have dropped on Prime Video, continuing Reece’s story after his quest has been fulfilled. The follow-up season shows Reece getting pulled back into the fray by the CIA, who are willing to grant him a full pardon for his crimes if he can help them stop a new, technologically advanced Al-Qaeda. The new threat appears to have Reece’s former friend, Mo Farooq, at the center, leading to a twisted rabbit hole of a conspiracy that spans across the world.

Season 2 isn’t just a follow-up to the first season, either. The new installment has deep ties to The Terminal List: Dark Wolf, with a number of new characters in The Terminal Listhailing from the prequel series. This includes Mo, whose backstory was explored in the prequel, alongside Reece’s new allies Raife Hastings and Jules Landry. Later episodes of season 2 tie even more heavily into the prequel, too, featuring a handful of surprise moments that exist for viewers who’ve watched Dark Wolf.
The Terminal Listhas a 10-year plan
The Terminal Listhas a 10-year plan for an expanded universe that’s only just begun. Season 2’s ties to the prequel are the start of something bigger, with the show’s presentation making a compelling case for a deeper exploration of its universe in franchise form. Given how well season 2 follows up on the original and the prequel, it’s something viewers may want to see unfold too.
Since The Terminal Listis back with all episodes of season 2 at the same time, viewers can experience the next chapter in Reece’s journey, which is filled with plenty of military-style action and an unflinching protagonist willing to do whatever it takes for the sake of his mission. The show is a worthy successor to Jack Ryan, and one viewers missing that show will resonate with.
