Sixty years after Captain Kirk’s debut, Star Trek reveals the final fate of its most iconic hero. As the epic The Last Starshipcomic series ends, Kirk gets a surprising finale.
Today’s Star Trek: The Last Starship #12 – from Jackson Lanzing, Collin Kelly, Adrián Bonilla, Lee Loughridge and Clayton Cowles – ends with Kirk and his ally Captain Sato saving the galaxy. However, in a surprising twist, it’s Sato who sacrifices his life, not Kirk.
The comic ends with Kirk waking up months later on a distant planet, living a new life with lover Agnes Jurati, purged of her Borg transformation by Sato’s sacrific.
