Former Bachelor star and fitness guru Sam Wood told wife Snezana and her daughter they could “both die” in an alleged attack at their luxury holiday accommodation, a court has been told.
Wood was denied bail for a second time in the Queensland Supreme Court on Friday, after being deemed an unacceptable risk as he fights serious charges of domestic violence, including strangulation.
His barrister Paula Morreau KC had argued the couple was effectively already separated, as she proposed him being bailed to live with his father Andrew Wood in Tasmania.
She argued Wood was at risk of spending a longer period on remand than any eventual non-parole period would be if he was convicted.
Justice Patrick McCafferty rejected those arguments in dismissing the application.
