Whoopi Goldberg Claps for ‘The View’ Co-Host
Highlighting the stark contrast of the venue’s history, Farah Griffin quipped: “So MLK gave us ‘I Have a Dream,’ he gave us ‘I cleaned the pool.'”
“Like, just the juxtaposition of being in front of the Lincoln Memorial,” she mused.
Goldberg immediately cut in, clapped her hands, and praised her co-host with an enthusiastic, “Well done!”
‘What Are We Even Doing?’
Farah Griffin continued to roast other portions of Trump’s speech, calling outnonsensical lines such as, “I have kept far more promises than I made,” and, “Like the human being, grass has a life also.”
“‘I have kept far more promises than I made.’ That’s not possible!” Farah Griffin laughed. “That doesn’t even makes sense. And we did play it in the clip, but I just want to reiterate this poetry: ‘Like the human being, grass has a life also.’ What are we even doing?”

Goldberg expressed overall bafflement that the president chose to spend his final pitch to voters focusing on pool renovations rather than supporting midterm candidates.
Sunny Hostin Had Her Own Election Day Issues
“I just want to make sure that I understand. Yesterday was the last time he should have been making, you know, a push for the candidates,” Goldberg said. “And instead, he was talking about the pool? That he messed up?”
On Election Day, the table’s “Hot Topics” segment quickly turned personal when Sunny Hostin alleged that she experienced voting issues at her polling place in Westchester County, N.Y.
Hostin said she arrived before 7 a.m. but was forced to place her ballot in an “orange bag” because the scanning machines failed.
‘The System Does Work’
Joy Behar immediately urged Hostin to report the incident, which Hostin confirmed she had done.
Farah Griffin offered context, noting that a countywide issue regarding the physical thickness of the ballot paper was causing the machines to jam.
Goldberg chimed in to de-escalate voter anxiety, reassuring the audience that “the system does work” and advising anyone uncomfortable with machine errors to walk their ballots directly to their local board of electors.

Looking ahead to a Democratic-controlled Congress, the hosts explicitly advised against pursuing aggressive retaliation.
Both Farah Griffin and Hostin agreed that Democrats should not attempt to impeach Trump, arguing that the new majority should focus purely on passing helpful public policies and proving they can govern rather than spending millions on investigative trials.
