The Diplomat is returning with Season Four next week!
Fans have been waiting all year for the new episodes, and Netflix has confirmed they will drop on October 15.
Here’s the synopsis: In Season Four of The Diplomat, two marriages threaten to eat each other alive. One catastrophic moment shatters the fragile peace Kate Wyler brokered between the US and UK, as well as the crumbling marriage she’s trying to save. While she fights to stem the bleeding, President Grace Penn and VP Hal Wyler’s conspiracy to steal Russia’s most powerful weapon hurtles the United States toward war. Kate and Todd, at best an uneasy pair, unite to stop the Grace-Hal alliance from upending the balance of power abroad and at home.
The cast will have some shakeups: two stars are exiting, several are returning, and one person’s name was left off of the cast list.
Keri Russell as Kate Wyler – Returning!
Netflix confirmed that Keri Russell will of course be back for season 4!
“What was fun for me was getting to do what Kate does really well: be second in command and be the supporter of someone important, versus giving speeches and doing the front of the line kind of things,” Keri told Netflix’s Tudum about season three.
Rufus Sewell as Hal Wyler – Returning!
Rufus Sewell will be back for season four!
About his character’s journey in season three, he shared with Netflix, “If you’re playing someone who’s confident … it’s really good to get to play them absolutely rattled. You get to see another side of all of us. It’s unbelievably chaotic.”
