The magazine, which ranks her 19th, highlights that she “has become one of the most determined advocates for the interests of the Swiss film industry in business, culture, and politics.” The daily newspaper “Journal de Bienne et du Grand Chasseral” reported on this on Saturday. Epelbaum has previously appeared several times among the top 50 figures on this list.
Epelbaum, who operates movie theaters in Biel, Bern, Delémont, Neuchâtel, and La Chaux-de-Fonds, served as president of the Swiss Cinema Association for twelve years. She then served as interim co-chair of Pro Cinema, the umbrella organization for Swiss theater operators and film distributors, and remains a member of its board of directors.
Her involvement extends to the international level as well. She is vice president of the International Association of Theater Owners, which represents the interests of theater owners.
Edna Epelbaum is also one of the two co-founders of the Festival du Film Francophone Biel/Bienne. The first edition of this event, dedicated to Francophone cinema, took place in September 2026.
