Rocky 50th anniversary
It’s a big year for Sylvester Stallone’s most famous creation and one of the biggest pop culture icons of all time. The original Rocky from 1976 is celebrating its 50th anniversary. A dramatization of the making of the film is coming out from Peter Farrelly, titled I Play Rocky, and it’s garnering a ton of positive buzz. You can get the story straight from Sylvester Stallone’s retelling in his autobiography, The Steps: A Memoir. And the movie itself is re-releasing in theaters for a new generation to experience on the big screen.
Now, Blu-ray.com is reporting that Rocky is also commemorating its 50th year with a new limited edition 4K UHD Blu-ray steelbook from Alliance Entertainment and Amazon MGM Studios.
