Ranbir Kapoor’s Ramayana is one of the most awaited movies, not just in India but across the world. The film, which is directed by Nitesh Tiwari, will also hit screens in the US. If a report by Variety India is to be believed, Ramayana is set to offer American audiences two different versions, with the English-language cut running 30 minutes shorter than the Hindi version.
Reportedly, theatre chain AMC’s listings show different runtimes for the two versions, both scheduled for November 5 in the US. The AMC listings mention that the Hindi version of Ramayana has a runtime of 3 hours and 15 minutes. On the other hand, the English-language version, titled Ramayana: Rise of a Legend, is listed at 2 hours and 45 minutes. This means the English cut will be half an hour shorter than its Hindi counterpart.
It was previously reported that the difference in duration is reportedly linked to the songs and interval included in the Hindi version, which are not a part of the English cut. However, it remains unclear whether the two versions will differ in other narrative or editing aspects. The makers have not issued any statement regarding this as of now.

Quick Answers
The English-language version, titled Ramayana: Rise of a Legend, is listed at 2 hours and 45 minutes, making it 30 minutes shorter than the 3-hour-and-15-minute Hindi version. This difference is reportedly due to the exclusion of songs and the interval in the English cut, alongside trimmed scenes to suit international audiences.
