Castle Doom mode brings new challenges, buffs & playable Marvel heroes
The Siege of Castle Doom DLC will introduce
The Siege of Castle Doom DLC will introduce a new game mode centered on Doctor Doom. Players will have to stop the supervillain from unleashing his latest invention. The mode will add new challenges to the game.
According to an official description for Castle Doom, players will need to “break through the defenses of Victor von Doom’s foreboding stronghold before he’s able to activate the Cosmic Inductor. This flawed weapon was designed to thwart Annihilus, but is destined to end the cosmos as we know it.”
After surviving an encounter, players can charge the Stabilizer. It’s a genius creation of Reed Richards and is capable of spoiling Doom’s newest plan. Players must collect battery cells and complete challenges to earn perks that improve defense, damage, or tactical abilities. The game features 12 perks. Doing so will also increase the fighting characters’ abilities.
Fighters will become weak if players fail
However, fighters will become weak if players fail to complete the challenges. Players must also navigate the castle’s winding routes. Players can choose upgrades strategically to improve their combat abilities.
In the new expansion, players will be able to choose Doctor Doom and The Fantastic Four’s Sue Storm as playable options. Plus, they will also get new unlockable color palettes for all playable superheroes who defeat Doctor Doom.
Marvel Cosmic Invasion’s paid DLC arrives on November 10, 2026. Avengers: Doomsday hits theaters on December 18, 2026.
