Amid the continued success of ‘Bethlehem Kudumba Unit’, the production banner has announced its next Malayalam film, titled ‘Picnic’. The makers have also unveiled the film’s release date, with the project set to arrive in theatres on January 14, 2027.Fahadh Faasil, Dileesh Pothan and Syam Pushkaran are producing the upcoming film. The trio has previously backed successful projects including ‘Premalu’ and ‘Bethlehem Kudumba Unit’.Kiran Josey makes his directorial debut with ‘Picnic’‘Picnic’ will be directed by debutant filmmaker Kiran Josey, who has also co-written the film with Anuraj OB.
Josey previously worked as a co-writer on ‘Bethlehem Kudumba Unit’. The upcoming film marks his first directorial venture. The collection came from 935 shows, with the film recording an overall occupancy of 29 percent. The latest figure was marginally lower than the previous day’s earnings. ‘Bethlehem Kudumba Unit’ had collected Rs 1.05 crore on Day 28, registering a 1.9 percent decline on Day 29.
