“There were certain scenes that, for me as a director, were so essential to the film. Censoring it or cutting it was just not an option for me,” he told Variety at the premiere.The filmmaker acknowledged that an R rating can limit the potential audience, but added, “I think the R-rating, at one point, carried almost a negative connotation. In more modern films, it actually creates a sort of expectation and excitement of, ‘Okay, well, they’re not censoring anything.

The Japanese monster film will clash head-on with the Nitesh Tiwari directorial, starring Ranbir Kapoor, Sai Pallavi and Yash in lead roles.Both films will arrive on the Diwali festive weekend.
