“Never Have I Ever” star Maitreyi Ramakrishnan and Priyanka Kedia (“Disclosure Day”) headline the college comedy “Best of the Best,” a South Asian riff on “Pitch Perfect” now on Netflix. Other services have fresh flicks to watch as well, including the wine-sloshed spoof “The Napa Boys” on Amazon’s Prime Video and the Mary Elizabeth Winstead apocalyptic social satire “Rich Flu” on Hulu.

‘Best of the Best’
In what’s pretty much “Pitch Perfect” with South Asian dancing, Maya (Maitreyi Ramakrishnan) and Anjali (Priyanka Kedia) are besties and UCLA freshman who make the Bollywood-fusion dance team. They navigate personality issues within the group and go for a national championship in a derivative comedy with fun dance sequences.
‘Goody Goody’
In the slow-burn horror movie, Goody (Samantha Robinson) has chosen to have a home birth in a remote cabin. Midwife Sarah (Colleen Foy) has a bad feeling about it, however − and that’s before it becomes frighteningly apparent that the baby daddy is of demonic origin. Just know you’re in for one seriously gnarly C-section.
‘The Mandalorian and Grogu’
In a continuation of the “Star Wars” series “The Mandalorian,” Mando (Pedro Pascal) and his adorable apprentice Grogu are on the hunt for ex-Imperial warlords. However, their latest job puts them at odds with a crime syndicate, though they find allies in Jabba the Hutt’s son (Jeremy Allen White) and an old Rebel pilot (Sigourney Weaver).
‘Mayday’
In this buddy comedy that’s a paean to “Top Gun” and 1980s action flicks, Ryan Reynolds stars as a hotshot Navy pilot who crash lands in Soviet Russia while on a Cold War-era spy mission. His only hope to get home turns out to be Nick (Kenneth Branagh), a gruff ex-KGB agent who loves American pop culture and is really good in a fight.
‘The Napa Boys’
In the spoofy comedy (presented as the fourth movie in a franchise), a bunch of wine-loving dudes go on an extremely good adventure through wine country. Not only do they wield the mystical Sommelier’s amulet, but they also come bearing a whole bunch of gags and Merlot jokes.
‘The President’s Cake’
Baneen Ahmed Nayyef has a wonderful film debut in this moving drama set during the Gulf War. She stars as a 9-year-old Iraqi girl named Lamia who gets chosen from her class to bake a cake for President Saddam Hussein, a pressure-filled project that sends her on an eye-opening journey alongside her grandma, best pal and pet rooster.
‘Rich Flu’
In this “eat the rich” social satire, Mary Elizabeth Winstead stars as a corporate executive who lands a fortune. It couldn’t happen at a worst time, though, as a mysterious virus begins to kill the wealthiest people in the world, the sickness causes everybody else to turn on them, and the fat cats try to get rid of their money in order to save themselves.
‘The Runner’
This tight, ticking-clock thriller unfolds almost in real time, with Gal Gadot as a fit lawyer whose son is kidnapped by a mysterious villain (Damian Lewis). Communicating with this sinister baddiend take out a key witness for a criminal trial she’s working on, or else her kid dies
‘Supergirl’
Milly Alcock is a joy to watch as Kara, a jaded, self-destructive protagonist living in a gnarly cosmic landscape in this scrappy DC superhero adventure. When her beloved dog Krypto is poisoned, Kara teams with a vengeful teen (Eve Ridley) and a rambunctious bounty hunter (Jason Momoa) to hunt down the vicious outlaw responsible.
‘Why Did I Get Married Again?’
The couples from director Tyler Perry’s “Why Did I Get Married?” series return for a third dramedy set in Italy. The daughter of Angela (Tasha Smith) and Marcus (Michael Jai White) is getting hitched to the son of Roselyn (franchise newcomer Taraji P. Henson), returning characters again remind themselves why they got married, and kids get new perspective on their parents.
