Aisha Summers-Burke has been named head of BET Studios and BET Creative Programming, Louis Carr, the president of BET, informed his staffers on Thursday.
With her new role, Summers-Burke will oversee all creative content for BET’s linear network while continuing to lead BET Studios. BET+ was recently folded into Paramount+, so that is the streaming destination for Summers-Burke’s content.
“This is an important evolution for BET. For the first time, our studio and network creative teams will be aligned under one leader, bringing greater connection across development, production and programming, and creating one cohesive creative vision across every screen where BET content lives,” Carr wrote.

I’m excited to share that Aisha Summers-Burke has been named Executive Vice President, Head of BET Studios and BET Creative Programming, expanding her leadership across our creative organization.
In the new expanded role, Summers-Burke will oversee all creative content for BET’s linear network and will continue to lead BET Studios while overseeing the creative pipeline supplying BET programming to Paramount+.

Aisha has been instrumental in building BET Studios since its launch in 2021, when she joined as EVP, Head of Creative. Under her leadership, BET Studios has become a destination for premium content from creators of color and a respected studio within the industry.
